agence en 1994, après avoir notamment passé cinq ans
au studio de Philippe Starck. Considéré comme l’un des fers de lance du design français – il a été consacré meilleur designer en 1994 - Christophe Pillet ne limite pas sa pratique au strict dessin de meuble mais considère assez justement qu’un designer doit être capable de répondre à toutes les questions liées au cadre de vie. Ainsi, on lui doit des aménagements de boutiques (Rodolphe Ménudier, Jitrois…), une ligne d’accessoires pour Lacoste, des robots ménagers pour Whirlpool et très bientôt un hôtel, le Sezzz situé dans le 16ème arrondissement de Paris. |
Christophe Pillet created his agency in 1994,
after having notably spent five years in the Philippe Starck studio. Considered to be one of the spearheads of French design – he was voted best designer in 1994 Christophe Pillet does not limit his work to designing furniture but considers rightly so that a designer must be able to come up with answers to all questions relating to one’s environment. Thus, he is responsible for the interiors of stores (Rodolphe Ménudier, Jitrois…), a line of accessories for Lacoste, food processors for Whirlpool and in the close future a hotel, the Sezzz located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. |
